The news calls it "the triangle" which for some reason offends me, I think it's just hard to see home turned into a news story so often spoken about when ghettos and violence are talked about in Canada. I went to school w/ most of the guys in these gangs. As I sit here on my nice computer, in my Queen West apartment I feel guilty for turning out okay. I am mad. I am mad that no one cares about these areas. I am mad b/c ppl just want all the "niggers and white trash" to just keep shooting untill no one is left.
I am mad because I went to shitty sub standard schools. And we lived in a culture of fear, and for some reason we were surrounded by pawn shops and money marts and off track betting. It was all so cliche. The hookers, needles and condoms. I don't know why we drink and fuck so early in ghettos? Sunny and Sarah did not. But most of us were fucking by 12 and getting fed crack by older men and so many had babies and moved into a 1bdrm in the same ontario housing units they were raised in. And no one cares we are allowing AMERICAN slum ideology into our culture... We are becoming them... don't believe it? Go to the triangle
Globe and Mail. " Friday’s arrests of alleged members of the Galloway Boys — who are suspects in a string of violence in the West Hill area, including one homicide."

CBC - Steve grew up with some of the members of the notorious Galloway Boys, many of whom are now in jail for a string of shootings that terrorized the neighborhood last summer

EYE - "But that wave of violence launched a police crackdown that led to 81 arrests of alleged members of the warring Malvern Crew and Galloway Boys"
